Leadership That Inspires Generations
For over four decades, the Birmingham Boys Choir has been shaped by the extraordinary leadership of Ken and Susan Berg. Since 1978, Ken has served as Music Director, blending artistry, discipline, and heartfelt mentorship to cultivate not only world-class vocalists but also strong, principled young men. Susan, serving alongside him as Pianist, Theory Program Coordinator, and later as Junior Chorister Director, has been equally instrumental—developing the foundational skills and confidence of our youngest singers. Their dedication has left an indelible mark on thousands of lives and established a legacy of excellence that defines the BBC to this day.
Now guiding the organization into its next chapter is Executive Director Jeff Caulk, whose leadership ensures that the mission, structure, and community reach of the BBC remain strong and forward-thinking. Jeff brings both administrative skill and a deep appreciation for the choir’s values, helping build a future that honors the past while embracing growth. Together, this team exemplifies what it means to lead with passion, purpose, and faith.
